Updated: Sunrise Highway Lanes Open After Camper Overturns

No injuries were reported.

Update 12:53 p.m. - Hampton Bays firefighters have reopened both Sunrise Highway eastbound lanes after a camper flipped over at around 11 a.m.

Police say the occupants of the camper, a father and his two children, were not injured. 

Shoreline Towing was called in to help flip the camper back on its wheels.

Update 12:46 p.m. -  The eastbound lanes remains closed, according to Southampton Town police. Town traffic control and police officers are directing traffic at some Montauk Highway intersections in Hampton Bays, to ease congestion.

Emergency responders, including the , are on the scene of a truck that overturned on Sunrise Highway at the Shinnecock Canal. The call, said, came in at 10:57 a.m.

The eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway where the truck tipped over is closed. Traffic is backed up and being redirected to Montauk Highway, which is congested.
