Photos: Shorts and Free Ice Cream

A line formed in front of Main Street Sweets on Tuesday afternoon.

As temps warmed to 70 degrees on Tuesday afternoon, those looking for free ice cream lined up in front of Main Street Sweets, sporting shorts and tank tops.

The store, with new owners Shawn Mundinger and Antoinette Piazza at the helm, are giving away free ice cream cones until 8 p.m. at part of Ben and Jerry's free ice cream day to celebrate the company's 35th anniversary.

Piazza said on Monday that she expects that her store will give away at least 5,000 scoops of ice cream while also helping to raise money for the Hurricane Foundation's wellness center.

Piazza is asking anyone who comes in for a free cone to donate $1 or more to the center.
