Photos: Sandy Causes Flooding In Hampton Bays, East Quogue

Waters are rising in Hampton Bays with many streets already impassible.

Flooding has already begun to affect many Hampton Bays roadways, including East Tiana Road and Corwin Lane and Hampton Point on the west side of East Quogue.

Mandatory evacuation orders in anticipation of the flooding from Hurricane Sandy were issued by the Town of Southampton on Sunday with the town expanding those orders to include Category 2 zones on Monday afternoon.

All of Dune Road has been evacuated with all bridges to the roadway closed as of Sunday night.

If your street is flooded, let us know by commenting below or e-mailing a photo to Erica.Jackson@Patch.com.

Someone posted a pic on Facebook of Cor Js - their parking lot is flooded - looks to be between six inches and a foot of water. Hope that helps, wish it was better news.

Rosemary, I am told that the upper streets of Hampton Point are ok. There is lots of trees down and no power. The lower streets in trouble are flooded and it's ;ow tide right now.

I was just on Red Creek Road by Red Creek Pond. The road is completely closed at that point due to a broken telephone pole, downed wires, trees and debrit in the road.
jks October 30, 2012 at 10:23 PM
Yes, the road is flooded but you can get thru if you go slowly.
