As Memorial Day weekend signifies the start of summer, Labor Day weekend means the end of lazy beach days and barbecues. And of course, for children, it means back to school.
Labor Day, according to Wikipedia, was first celebrated in on September 5, 1882, becoming a Federal holiday in 1894 in an effort to reconcile a labor movement.
