Open for the Season: TR Restaurant

TR's will open it's doors at 5:30 p.m.

Just in time for , in Hampton Bays is opening it's doors for the season at 5:30 p.m.

The resturant, which opened last July, taking over Tully's seafood market, is offering a $29.95 prix fixe through Sunday.

According to WordHampton Public Relations, TR Restaurant, which is owned by chef Tom Rutyna, will start the season with a new Sunday brunch menu, which will include eggs Benedict, country ham and eggs, pancakes with nutella, and seafood signatures.

Other dishes that will be featured include chicken salad plate full of tarragon, red grapes and pecans, shrimp salad remoulade and organic greens, and a duck breast sandwich with arugula, melted Port Salut cheese and pickled vegetables. 

Rutyna, who worked at several Hamptons restaurants, including and Coast Grill before landing his own restaurant has been acclaimed by Joanne Starkey of The New York Times who said he his, "is at least as much a fisherman as he is a fine chef.”

Rutyna's late grandfather, Herman Ullman, a former Southampton town trustee, was the first to introduce Rutyna to local waters and fishing.
