Wednesday's nor'easter wreaked havoc on an already hurting area, causing more power outages.
As of Thursday morning, the Long Island Power Authority reported that a total of 2,232 Southampton residents are without power, up from Wednesday morning when the power company said 1,052 Southampton customers were without power.
Across Long Island the story is the same. LIPA said there are a total of 85,184 without power in Suffolk and 140,426 in Nassau. Those numbers on Wednesday were 74,326 and 86,131 respectively.
The power company said that over 12,000 workers will continue to work around the clock to restore power to its total 265,201 customers still without power.
