A spotting of 'Jesus' was all the talk in Westhampton Beach on Tuesday afternoon. Residents were also Facebooking and Tweeting about the sighting of a man dressed in a robe, carrying a cross.
Some said he saw him sitting on a bench by , others saw him near and there was reports of him on Montauk Highway in Quogue.
According to an article published on 27east on Wednesday, the man's name is Robert Wood. He told the publication, that he is from Freeport and is walking to Montauk to draw "attention to Jesus because everyone needs him.”

27east further reported that Wood started his journey to Montauk in April, but has been walking on and off for 22 years. When he reaches Montauk, he said he plans to head back to Brooklyn.
