Incident Reports: Man Exposes Himself In Hampton Bays

Crimes and suspicious incidents recently reported to the Southampton Town Police Department:

Criminal Mischief

• A North Sea resident told police on April 13 that someone kicked open the side door of his home and also damaged the lock on the door. Nothing was taken from the residence.

• A Southampton resident called police on April 11 to report that someone chucked a rock through her bedroom window. Police are investigating.

Leaving the Scene

• A Bridgehampton resident told police on April 11 that someone damaged her car while it was parked in the Bridgehampton Commons shopping center on Montauk Highway.

Exposure of a Person

A Hampton Bays resident told police that while walking her dog on April 9 a male, about 50-years-old, walked up to her and exposed himself. Police said they canvassed the area, but could not find the man.

Grand Larceny

• A Bridgehampton man called police on April 4 to report that someone took items from his home, including a Crazy Fly kite board, valued at $700; two Ozone Kite Boards, valued at $4,000; and a Harness Fusion Kite Board, valued at $175.

• A Water Mill resident reported to police on April 13 that he discovered items missing from his home when he went to get utensils from his kitchen draw. He reported missing serving sets and antique spoons, valued at $5,000.

• A Hampton Bays resident reported on April 12 that someone entered his basement and stole the following: a mountain bike, valued at $1,000; an all-white mountain bike, valued at $1,000; an X-box, valued at $300; and three hard drives, valued at $600.

Petty Larceny

• A Noyac resident called police on March 28 to report that while she was away on vacation, between the dates of March 21 and March 28, someone dug up 6-8 bamboo plants from the rear of her property.

Litter

• A Water Mill resident called police on April 29 to report that someone dumped a Christmas tree and other debris on his property without permission.
