Hot Shower and Meals Available At Hampton Bays Middle School

The Middle School will be open from 10 to 3 p.m. for showers

With much of Hampton Bays still without power — as of Friday morning, LIPA reports over 1,500 customers in the area still affected — hot showers and a meal are being offered to residents at the Hampton Bays Middle School on Friday, according to the Hampton Bays Fire Department Facebook Page.

The department says that the school district has opted to open the middle from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for showers with soup being served, starting at 11 a.m.

The fire department relayed that all of the showers are private and residents need to bring a towel and their own soap. The department is also asking people to please pass the word on to neighbors to help get the word out.
