Hampton Bays Fire Department to Hold Saturday Collection For Sandy Victims

The collection will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Hampton Bays Fire Department is holding a one-time, mass collection drive for the victims of Hurricane Sandy on Saturday at the main firehouse on Montauk Highway between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

According to the department's Facebook Page, there are several high-need items. The list is as follows:

  • Sleeping bags, blankets, and towels
  • Jackets, gloves, hats and scarves
  • Batteries, flashlights and extension cords
  • Clothing all sizes (must be clean)
  • Baby necessities (food, diapers, clothing)
  • Canned food, baby food
