Updated: Westhampton Beach Halloween Parade Canceled Again

The event, rescheduled for Nov., has been called off.

Updated: Nov. 8, 11:30 a.m.: The rescheduled Westhampton Beach Halloween parade has been cancelled after a nor'easter whipped through the area on Wednesday, causing additional power outages and flooding.

The Westhampton Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event said, however, it is working with the Westhampton Beach Elementary School to distribute the candy it purchased for the event.

Previous: Kids won't have to wait another year to enjoy Westhampton Beach's popular Main Street Trick-or-Treat event, which was cancelled after Hurricane Sandy left a trail of destruction in the community.

The event, which was called off on Oct. 31, has been rescheuled for Nov. 8, according to the Westhampton Beach Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event.

Children and adults are invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes and march town Mill Road to Main Street, starting at 3:15. Main Street business will then be open to trick-or-treaters.
