Girl Scouts Honor Business Owner; Raise $2,300

The money will be used toward four Gold Award projects

On Sunday, in honoring local business owner Lynn Jones, of Lynne's Cards and Gifts, Girl Scout Troop 2168 raised $2,300 that will be used toward four of the troop members' Gold Award projects.

"It really was a beautiful, great day," said Troi Kandler, troop leader.

Kandler said the event, which was held at Starr Boggs in Westhampton Beach brought out 92 people, who each paid $50 each to have lunch, honor Jones and learn more about the scout's projects.
