Former Mayor Proposes Senior Apartments

A new senior citizen apartment complex could be built in Quiogue.

Former Westhampton Beach Village Mayor Robert Strebel is proposing a senior apartment complex on ten acres that he owns on Montauk Highway, according to an article published on 27east.

Strebel, who owns property to the south of the proposed senior project, "is looking to build 75 units reserved for tenants aged 55 and over; the rentals will be housed in eight to 10 buildings," reports 27east.

No official plans have been submitted to the Town of Southampton for the proposal.
