Cops: Three Distract German Shepherd With Bones to Burglarize Home

All three men were charged with felonies.

A large German Shepherd did not dissuade three men from attempting to burglarizing an East Quogue Spinney Road home on Wednesday.

According to Southampton Town Police, Wilson A. Garcia, 20, of East Quogue; Eli Garcia, 18, also of East Quogue; and Gustavo Gonzalez, 18, Hampton Bays, fed the dog bones in order to enter the home. What they didn't know, said police, was that someone else was also in the residence.

Police say that while inside the home looking for items to steal, the three were startled by an occupant, which caused them to flee.
