Can You Identify This Historical Photo?

Local historians dig into their archives.

Each week, we will feature a local historical photo from the archives of either Sally Spanburgh, a Southampton preservation advocate, or the Hampton Bays Historical Society and ask readers to guess what is pictured, the date the photo was taken and/or what is there today.

If you think you know the answer, let us know in the comment section below. We will let you know if you're right next Sunday when we post the next photo challenge.

Last week's photo, according to Brenda Berntson, of the Hampton Bays Historical Society was of the Martin House, which is located on the south side of Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays by the intersection of Ponquogue/Squiretown Roads.

John Camara's old house, Joe's Lobster House on Dune Rd. taken about 15 years ago.

Looks a little like Joes lobsters and the house he used to live in but then again C&N fisheries should be right next to it. So the huge space makes me think its Calahans(which does not look familiar from that picture) which we were going to buy but the price was too much for my dads pockets to afford. Since Al Haven has spent so many years in that location(C&N) I would have to lean on his guess as being accurate but where is C&N next to it unless it was not built yet?
