10 Holiday Events For The Whole Family

Festival of lights, tree lighting and caroling will be sure to get everyone in the mood for the holidays.


The Westhampton Free library is offering a Gingerbread house decoration session on Friday at 6 p.m. The fee is $20 per house. Call 631-288-3335 to register.


The Christmas Home and Hearth Fair at in Hampton Bays includes a famous cookie walk, pictures with Santa Claus, hand-made crafts, raffle baskets, wreaths and much more. The fun starts on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.


The will host a holiday tree trimming party where guests can make an ornament to hang on the tree or bring home on Saturday at 11 a.m.. Hot chocolate and light refreshments will be served. Holiday music will be played and there will even be a story time for the kids. Donations are accepted in exchange of an admission fee. Reservations are requested. Guests are also asked to bring a holiday treat to share with others.


On Saturday at noon kids can decorate ornaments and get their photo taken with Santa at  . The event is free.


Santa will arrive in Westhampton on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Village Green in Westhampton. There will be holiday songs, hot chocolate and a menorah lighting. For more information, call (631) 288-3337.

6. Annual Tree Lighting and Visit with Santa

The has asked Santa to help ring in the season at its annual tree lighting on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at 69 West Montauk Hwy.  For more information, call (631) 728-2211. 

7. Hampton Bays Holiday Craft Fair

The will hold their annual holiday bazaar on Sunday starting at 9 a.m. Students can purchase holiday gifts for their loved ones during the event. For more information, call (631) 723-2121.

8. Bideawee Photos with Santa

Get your pets decked out for the holidays and take them over to Bideawee, 118 Old Country Road, in Westhampton on December 10 to get their holiday photo taken with Santa. For more information, call (631) 325-0200 

9. Holiday WinterFest in Westhampton Beach

Enjoy the holidays in the village of Westhampton Beach while getting some shopping done at the annual WinterFest. Mrs. Claus will be on hand to read stories to the kiddies.  The festival starts on Dec. 10 at 11:00 a.m. For more information, call (631) 288-3337.

10. Home for the Holidays at the Southampton Animal Shelter

Head over to the S's on Dec. 11 for annual Home for the Holidays event.  For more information, call (631) 728-7387 or visit the shelter at 102 Old Riverhead Road, Hampton Bays.
