What a summer it's been for us at Adventure Paddleboards. We have had the privelidge and pleasure of teaching hundreds of people to Stand up paddleboard since this past May. We've met people from all over the country, and the globe. Some of our favorite SUPpers are from right here in Hampton Bays and our surrounding towns. We've had a warm welcome from many local residents, business owners, second home owners and visitors. The most welcoming being Chef Colette and Chef Pam at The Inn Spot, who graciously offered us a "home" on Shinnecock Bay. We have our own slice of heaven at The Inn Spot, just before the Ponquogue Bridge, next to Cor-J Fish Market. We wake up everyday anticipating the day ahead, who will we meet? What direction is the wind today? Will the water be choppy or glassy? We always want the best experience for our guests for our introductory Guided Group Adventure. We are so blessed here in Hampton Bays to have so many choices, Shinnecock, Peconic, Tiana Bays...all equally beautiful in their own way. We have discovered that our "Down-winders" are perfect for those days when all else fails. The Down-winder Adventure is a fun option, it's about an 1 1/2hr paddle beginning at The Ponquogue Bridge ending at Rumba's restaurant where paddlers can have lunch or a beverage and the RumBUS will take you back to your car. We encourage early morning paddles when the waters are calm and free of boats and jetskis, sunset paddles are a serene end to a busy day. We have a mutual respect and understanding with our neighbors, East End Jetski who do a great job keeping their Jet Skiers safe and within their boundaries. We have explored the canals, the points and the shores, we've paddled in the wind, the rain and... well not the snow...yet. So, we've tested the area waters and we give it an A+! We are here to stay and grow in the Stand up Paddleboard business and happy we chose Hampton Bays as our home.
