As we get ready to welcome 2014, here is a look back some of the businesses that closed during the past year. 

Hallmark Store Closes After 30 Years

The Hampton Bays Hallmark shop, located on the Wild by Nature shopping center, shut its doors for good in July. A fixture in the community for 40 years, the store sold not only cards, but also served as a prescription center and variety store.

Tiderunners Says Goodbye on Saturday

In September, Tiderunners in Hampton Bays, which has been open for the past 11 years, closed. The eatery sat in the middle of a controversial development project proposed by cousins Gregg and Mitchell Rechler.

Westhampton's High Gear Closes its Doors

High Gear Fitness in Westhampton held its last spin class in September. The business, which opened in 2012 and featured spin, TRX classes and boot camps, closed for good after a spin class with Roland and TRX training with Donna.
