Shock Now Serving Bagels And Babka

Kosher breakfast and lunch is available at Shock starting at 9:00 a.m Friday through Sunday.

Shock Ice Cream of Westhampton Beach is now serving kosher breakfast and lunch on the weekends.

Over the weekend, owner Elyse Richman, officially opened her ice cream shop also as a breakfast cafe' serving bagels, babka and pitas along with cole slaw, potato, tuna and egg salads.

The menu also includes dessert items from cookies to muffins and Danish.

In March, Richman reached an agreement with Hamptons Synagogue, which now oversees all of Shock's kosher goods.

Previously, the synagogue had worked with the Beach Bakery until Simon Jorna and the synagogue got into a dispute. The severed ties in October after doing business together for 20 years.
