Rumba, Cowfish Owners Look To Expand West

The popular restaurant's owner said is eyeing space in Patchogue.

The owner of popular Hampton Bays eateries Rumba and Cowfish are looking to expand westward to the Patchogue area.

According to a post on Rumba's Facebook Page late last week, owners of the restaurant are looking for investors for a Main Street Patchogue restaurant.

The owners did not immediately return calls for comment.

Since opening in May 2002, Cowfish — owners David and Rachel Hersh's second restaurant, has soared in popularity. The waterfront spot features New American delights.

The same is true of Rumba, which features Caribbean foods, and has become so well-liked that overcrowding became an issue — the owners now have a bus service and a ferry service to and from their restaurants.
