New Manufacaturing Company Opens in Westhampton

Head Line Brand Products is making custom deodorants, sunscreens and tattoo and lip balms.

The red ribbon was cut on a new manufacturing business in Westhampton on Friday afternoon. The business, called Head Line Brand Products is selling and manufacturing all-natural sunscreens, lip balms, hand cleaners, deodorizers, and tattoo balm, all with customized labels.

"We are an impulse marketing company," said Christian Killoran, owner.  "We manufacture personal products in small, personal-use, .05 ounce tins."

The products, said Killoran are packaged specifically for the market in which they are sold. For example, Killoran says golf art is added the label of a product that will be sold at golf facilities and wine cork art is generated for items offered at wine stores.

While many people are straying from opening business in this economy, Killoran says he believes his marketing strategy of incorporating impulse items with package customization, will help him to be successful.

"Through package customization, we are able to create a viable platform for merchandising our products," said Killoran.

The purchase price, he said will also help the vitality of the business.

"We are looking to have a purchase point price of $3.99 or below," said Killoran.

Killoran, who hails from Remsenburg and is an attorney, says he and his partners, John Donahue and Paul Blaney, have been working on the business concept since last April.

What took the most time was getting FDA approval for their product line, which was blended and fine tuned using all natural products, he said.

Killoran said the Westhampton location, 411 Old Riverhead Road, is not open to the public, but products can purchased through Head Line Brand Project's website.  Aside from customizing products for businesses, Killorian said they can be personalized as favors for weddings, parties and fundraisers.
