Madison Square Garden Now Serving Greenport Harbor Brewing Company Beer

Score one for the locals: Greenport Harbor Otherside IPA is now being served at Madison Square Garden.

"For a brewery our size to be served at such an iconic place is beyond flattering. We are looking forward to the challenge of meeting increased production ahead of the Peconic location opening," said Greenport Harbor Brewing Company's owners John Liegey and Rich Vandenburgh.

After a decade of taking care of dogs while their owners couldn't, Hampton Pet Club closed up shop.

Todd Lester and Jason Neimark, who owned the pet boarding and day care business, said they were forced to vacate the space at 1070 Montauk Highway in Water Mill at the end of September after their lease was not renewed.

"We would like to thank our loyal clientele and canine companions for their many years of patronage and support; all of which helped the Hampton Pet Club become a great place for dogs," the owners wrote on their website. "The relationships formed and memories created will be treasured."

New York Mets Hall of Fame member John Franco made a sea of customers happy with autographs and photos on Route 58 in Riverhead Saturday.

Franco stopped by the new Dick's location at 1779 Old Country Road on Saturday from 11 until 1 p.m., smiling for photos and signing autographs and baseball mitts for fans, some of them small children.

The sports legend appeared as part of a three-day grand-opening celebration at Dick's, which began on Friday, with special giveaways, including a free Mystery Gift Card from $5 to $500 for the first 100 adults in line on Friday and Saturday, a free Under Armour Tech T-shirt for the first 100 people in line on Saturday, and a free Scratch & Win card, where every card is a winner, for the first 100 adults in line on Sunday.
