Pfeifer says that while skin care treatments in her office are similar to what a client will receive at a local spa, her office uses different ingredients — ingredients that she says are only available to doctors.

"We can penetrate deeper and use ingredients that are a lot stronger. We use completely different products," she said.

Pfeifer says that through skin care treatments with are done by Tracy Kociszewski, a licensed esthetician, severely damaged skin, acne and rosacea can be addressed.

In addition, because Pfeifer said she is a doctor, she can offer other services such as Botox injections, liposuction and tummy tucks.

Pfeifer says her office also provides corrective breast surgeries — which she says has kept her office busy despite the economy.

"I've been doing a lot of corrective procedures using a product called, the Gummy Bear," which is a FDA-approved round silicone breast implant, she said.

"It’s great for patents who had an augmentation that is now it is leaking."

Pfeifer's added that she is working on a new skin treatment product line that will be released in the next two to three months.
