East Quogue Student Follows Art Dream To Etsy

Nicole Burns is now selling her photography on Etsy.

Graduate of Westhampton Beach High School and student at Emerson in Boston, Nicole Burns is making her dreams of selling her artwork come true โ€” last week she launched an Etsy shop, called Hampton Photos By Nic.

The East Quogue resident, who is majoring in marketing and advertising and is set to graduate in a year, said she decided to sell her photography after friends and family insisted that her work is good enough to sell.

"I put a few of them in my dad's office and people started asking about them," she said.

Burns first found her calling for photography when a friend gave her a camera a few years backโ€” she immediately turned to the natural surroundings around her home on Sunset Avenue in East Quogue. Soon, friends and family deemed her the official photographer for events and gatherings.

Her Etsy business features mostly landscape photos from the Hampton Bays, East Quogue and the North Fork with photos of the Ponquogue Bridge to be added soon.

All of the photos can be ordered in custom print sizes, on canvas, or framed. Prices start at $115.

In the future, Burns hopes to offer portrait packages.
