What's Inside?: Lightly battered pieces of calamari, served in a large bowl with diced red and green peppers and red onion. A lemon wrapped in a toile is served on the side in case you'd like a dash of citrus.

How's it Taste: The calamari is crispy and seasoned to perfection. With a slight hint of cumin and other spices, the tenderness of the calamari is heavenly. The light batter offers the perfect crunch. No sauce is offered for dipping; it is simply not needed.

The dish offers about 15 pieces of calamari, so you'll want to savor every bite. The flavorful taste leaves you wanting more, so sharing this appetizer isn't recommended.

Sides: Edamame, steamed soybeans, ($4) is a great dish to share with the table and munch on before or after the calamari. Any of the rolls from the sushi bar are a good choice to follow the calamari. The California Roll ($5) is a classic, of course, with kani (crabmeat), avocado, and cucumber.
