Labor Day Weekend Arts Festival Heading to Village

A favorite annual event will be back for its fifth year.

A beloved annual tradition will be back Labor Day weekend as the 5th Annual Westhampton Festival of the Arts unfolds.

Running both Saturday and Sunday, the festival, which is ranked #44 nationwide, will bring artists and their work to the Great Lawn, across from St. Mark's Church, at the corner of Main Street and Potunk Lane.

First presented in 2009, the festival has been dubbed the largest arts fine art festival on Long Island, and attracts national and international talent.

Painters, jewelers, photographers, sculptors and woodworkers will have work on display; visitors will be able to purchase original pieces by artisans specializing in glass, ceramics, fiber art, metalwork and mixed-media.

In addition, guests are encouraged to meet and interact with artists, learning how they were trained and what inspires their work.

The event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.  in Westhampton Beach. Admission and parking are free.

The Westhampton Festival of the Arts is directed by Paragon Fine Art Events. For more information, call show director Bill Kinney at (631) 421-1590 or by e-mailing bill@paragonartfest.com.
