The Hampton Bays St Patrick’s Day Parade is fast approaching
The parade will be held on Saturday, March 22 and will kick off at 11 a.m. from Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue.
The parade will travel northbound on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway and end near the Hampton Bays Diner.
Southampton Town Police said large number of people are expected to attend and traffic delays should be anticipated as Montauk Highway from Bittersweet South to Flanders Road and Ponquogue Avenue from King Street to Montauk Highway will be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Motorists that are not planning to attend the parade are urged to avoid the area if possible, police said.
