Just in time for the 2012 Presidential Election comes this play about the importance of democracy and civic duty. 18-year Nicole Harrison registered to vote when she got her driver's license but has no intention of bothering to cast a ballot on Election Day. There are too many better things to do! As her friends stress the importance of voicing her opinion, Nicole suddenly slips back through time into the midst of the Revolutionary War! She battles to return to her own time while her compatriots fight for the very right she has so casually dismissed. Tossed from one historical event to another, from the American Revolution through the Vietnam Era, Nicole learns to stand beside and respect women, minorities and young people, all demanding the right to vote. She participates in changing the face of democracy as the audience finds just how many shoulders support us every time we step into a voting booth.
