The Perlman Music Program’s Annual Family Concert

The Perlman Music Program will present its Annual Family Concert on Sunday, July 8 at 11:30 AM.  This special event aims to inspire the children and families of the East End community with a fun introduction to the world of classical music and the joy of learning and playing the violin, viola, cello, and bass.  This multi-faceted production is presented by Summer Music School students and faculty, and features musical performances, a musical “skit”, and an instrument “Petting Zoo”, during which young children are invited to try out youth-sized instruments with hands-on supervision and coaching from PMP students. The concert is free and open to the public and kids of all ages.

Founded by Toby Perlman 18 years ago, The Perlman Music Program offers unparalleled musical training to young string players of rare and special talent. With a world-class faculty led by Itzhak Perlman, the New York City and Shelter Island, NY based program seeks to develop the future leaders of classical music, all within a nurturing and supportive musical community.
