Quogue Junior Theater Troupe presents "Working"

Everyone should race to see the talented high school members of the Quogue Junior Theater Troupe this week in the musical "Working" at the Quogue Village Theater on Jessup Lane. This musical adaptation of the Studs Terkel book examines the average worker's viewpoint and shows that he or she is anything but average. Based on a series of actual interviews with working people -- construction workers, waitresses, firemen, secretaries and cleaning women -- "Working" is both an exploration of the individuals' occupations and a lament for lost hopes and dreams. This musical adaptation was conceived by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin) and features the music of local composer Mary Rodgers Guettel. A must for all musical theatre buffs.  Tickets at qjttonline.org or through OvationTix at 866-811-4111 or one hour before curtain at the Box Office (if it's not sold out).
