Renowned author Martin Amis will be appearing at Books & Books with his newest literary novel, Lionel Asbo. We were honored to welcome Amis in 2010 for one of our first author events, and we’re expecting an equally lively and fascinating discussion on literature from Amis this summer. Lionel Asbo tells the story of young Desmond Pepperdine, who desires nothing more than books to read and a girl to love. Unfortunately for him, he’s the ward of his uncle, a terrifying yet oddly principled thug who’s determined to teach him the joys of pit bulls, internet porn, and general criminality.
