Jeffrey Lyons

From 1934 to 1974, eminent New York Post columnist Leonard Lyons made the daily and nightly rounds of Gotham hot spots, collecting the exclusive scoops and revelations that were at the core of his widely read newspaper column, “The Lyons Den.” Stories My Father Told Me: Notes from "The Lyons Den," written by his son Jeffrey Lyons, takes us right back to the New York’s mid-century Golden Age, when top restaurants and nightclubs were gathering spots for famous figures of the era, from movie and Broadway stars to athletes, comedians, royalty, diplomats, and artists. Kirk Douglas calls this collection of true stories “wonderful! I saw Leonard Lyons on a lot of nights out in Manhattan and if he told these stories, they’re true!” Join Books & Books for a glamorous evening with Jeffrey Lyons as he takes us back in time to “The Lyons Den.”
