The Hampton Theatre Company is holding auditions for "I Hate Hamlet," a comedy by Paul Rudnick on Jan. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Jan. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. The play is about a young Hollywood actor up against the ghost of John Barrymore. Readings will be from the script. Rehearsals begin in February, and the play will run from March 17 to April 3 at Quogue Community Hall.
According to the theatre company, roles being sought are:
- Andrew Rally (late 20s-30s), a successful LA TV actor (except that his series has just been cancelled) who has, against his better judgement, come to NY to play Hamlet.
