Youth Wrestling Program Now Accepting Registration

The program starts on Dec. 3

The popular Westhampton Youth Wrestling program is gearing up for its winter season by starting to accept registration.

The nine-year-old program, which runs out of the East Quogue Elementary School, is run by a team of skilled, volunteer coaches who two times a week, get on the mat and teach kids the art of wrestling.

The program, which was started by father and son Vinny and Jeff Ciolino, aims to provide an opportunity for children ages of 4 and 12 to not only have fun, but also practice their wrestling skills with a coach.

The students are also invited to participate in weekend scrimmages with other area wrestling programs —In Suffolk alone, 400 kids, both boys and girls, are registered in a USA wrestling program.

The program is $75 per child with family discounts available — but no child will be turned away, if families are unable to pay the registration fee.

Wrestling classes will start on Dec. 3 for students in grades 2 to 8 and on January 7 for students in kindergarden and first grade.  Times vary depending on grade level. (a registration form is attached to this article.)
