The Southampton Animal Shelter is holding an adopt-a-thon, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Stop on by and adopt a cat for free.

2. Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Alzheimer’s Association Long Island will hold its second East End Walk to End Alzheimer’s/Fall Festival on October 20 at the intersection of Main Street and the Village Green (near the gazebo) in Westhampton Beach. Registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 10 a.m. The walk kicks off at 11 a.m.

3. Halloween Funtacular Puppetry and Costume Party with The Bay Theatre Hampton Bays

The Bay Theatre Company is hosting a costume party event at the Hampton Bays Middle School on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15.

4. Enchanted Forest Trail

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is hosing its annual enchanted forest trail for children on Saturday at 11 a.m. The event includes crafts, activities and a trail walk. The cost is $7 per child. Pre-registration is required.

5. Family Fall Festival @ Enchanted Gardens in Speonk

Enchanted Gardens in Speonk is hosting a fall family festival on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m. The cost is $5 per person.
