While there are plenty of businesses thriving in the Westhampton-Hampton Bays area, there are more than a handful of empty or boarded up storefronts in the community, a testament to the hard times the area, and the country, faces.
One of those buildings is the former Foggy Goggle, located at 80 East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays. The building sits on 1.4 acres and has been vacant for two years. The owner of the building is asking $1.9 million for the building, which features nine rooms on the second floor. The asking price is down from the original price tag of $3 million. The owner, who wished not to be named, has taken the listing back from a broker and is selling it privately. He can be reached at (516) 521-2309.
