Watch: Dr. Susan Krausz Gives Speech on Psychology of 50 Shades of Grey

Dr. Susan Krausz, a 35-year psychoanalyst, gave a talk at the on July 21 on the psychology behind the popular 50 Shades of Gray series. 

She said she believes the book has gained popularity because it discusses a topic that was once considered taboo, but no longer is.  She further stated that the book is "much larger than "mommy porn" — older women are reading it too, she said.
