Southampton Pet of the Week: Whiskey's Adoption Fee Is Waived

This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Whiskey, a 4-year-old male tiger, who has been at the shelter since 2009.

According to Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, Whiskey arrived at the shelter as a stray.

Whiskey's adoption fee, as well as fees for all cats and kittens, are waived until the end of the year. In addition, six months worth of food and medical care will be provided for all cats that have been at the shelter for longer than a year.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
