This week, the is looking to find a home for Peanut and Cashew, who are being offered up for adoption, two for the price of one.
Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, said Peanut and Cashew are 5-month-old male kittens.
"When it comes to kittens, two is better than one," Bambrick said. "While one kitten can become lonely, two kittens will keep each other company."
And if a kitten isn’t what you’re looking for, Bambrick said that all cats more than 1-year-old are free through September.
All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.
Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
To adopt Peanut and Cashew or any of the other animals available for adoption, call the shelter at 631-728-7387 or visit them at 102 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays.
