Southampton Pet of the Week: Monty is a Puppy Mill Rescue
The Southampton Animal Shelter has some loving pets for adoption.
This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Monty, who is a puppy mill rescue.
According to Linda Goldsmith, of the Southampton Animal Shelter, Monty spent the first 5 years of his life in a small cage.
"All things are new to Monty, who likes other dogs and could use a home with some TLC," said Goldsmith.
June is also cat adoption month at the shelter and the shelter is offering 9 lives for $9.00 — cats over 9 months old are $9.00 and cats over 9 years are free.
All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered. Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
