This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Buttercup, a 5-month-old Buff Tiger female and L’Oreal, a 3-month-old Tortie female.
The kittens are being offered for adoption two for the price of one as part of the shelter's effort to find homes for all their kittens this month.
"The promotion has been a big success," said Don Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor. "But, we still have over 50 kittens looking for new homes.
In addition to offering a two for one adoption fee in September, the shelter has also waived the adoption fee for all cats over a year old.
All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.
Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
