Southampton Pet of the Week: Baxter

Southampton has some loving pets available for adoption.

This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Baxter, a 7-year-old male longhaired cat, who arrived at the shelter in January.

According to Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, Baxter's owner had to give him and his brother Diesel up because a family member developed allergies.

"Both are now looking for homes and can be adopted together or alone," Bambrick said.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
