The is looking to find homes for cats that are over the age of one by waiving adoption fees through the end of September.
Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, said, "We have cats of all ages in need of loving homes. There is a cat just right for you and your family."
For those who love cats, but are unable to adopt, Bambrick said the shelter is also looking for volunteers.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.
Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
To adopt a cat for free any of the other animals available for adoption, call the shelter at 631-728-7387 or visit them at 102 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays.
