This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Adrienne, who is a year old and is partially deaf
According to Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, Adrienne's training at the shelter includes sign language so she communicates well and has learned some basic commands.
"Needless to say, Adrienne will need a special adopter who will be willing to work through her disability with her. She will make a great companion for the right person," said Bambrick.
All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.
Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
To adopt Adrienne or any of the other animals available for adoption, call the shelter at 631-728-7387 or visit them at 102 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays.
