Horowitz, who graduated from the Suffolk County Police Academy in 1985 and served the Town of Southampton at various law enforcement related responsibilities, including as a seasonal bay constable, is also an appointed member of the Southampton Town Conservation Board, a licensed USCG Captain, a member of American Professional Captain’s Association, a member of the International Game Fish Association and the Billfish Foundation.

Horowitz in his own words:

I love this country! I think we can make it even greater and stronger one community at a time. I have always believed that it is important to be a solid citizen in our community. As an individual resident, I have helped to preserve some of the maritime traditions and heritage, assisted in the maintaining of jobs and commerce and helped to promote maritime safety and water quality.  I also did what was necessary to assist in the mentoring of children in our town, since it is imperative that they are actively encouraged to stay on the right track.

I took these issues on and, in the best interest of us all, achieved positive results. I simply believed it was the right thing to do. I expect that type of dedication and commitment to the public, from all of our elected officials.  My track record proves I can make a difference. I will put my energy, experience and true dedication to use in the best interests of the people of the Town of Southampton if elected Southampton Town Trustee.

We have serious issues and challenges facing our traditions and quality of life.  I am prepared to accept these challenges and deal with the issues. It would be an honor and a privilege to serve as Southampton Town Trustee.
