Rehabbed Seal To Be Released

Matsi Marina, who was rescued in Montauk, will be released at 5 p.m.

Matsi Marina, a male gray seal pup is set to be released at 5 p.m. in Hampton Bays.

According to the Riverhead Foundation, Matsi Marina, was rescued on May 13, 2012 in Montauk. She was found lethargic and suffering from alopecia.

The foundation explained that "Alopecia is a loss of fur and commonly indicates illness or stress in a seal" but usually goes away in about a year when the seal molts.
