PHOTOS: Residents Evacuate; Board Up Homes and Businesses

Volunteer Fire Department members went door-to-door warning residents they were in low-lying areas and must evacuate.

Quogue Fire Department volunteers have been going door-to-door to ensure that residents on Dune Road and those in other low lying areas have left their homes as part of a . Many of the homes they visited were already boarded up with the homes' owners already long gone. 

Area business owners have also been working to board up their windows to prevent possible glass breakage.

All area bridges have been blocked off to South-bound traffic, including the in Quogue.
