On the most solemn of days, the Hampton Bays community stood strong to pay tribute to fallen heroes at an annual ceremony hosted by the Hampton Bays American Legion Post.

The ceremony, which was held on Wednesday evening at the 9/11 memorial at the Hampton Bays Middle School, marked the 12th anniversary of 9/11.
