Photos: Coast Guard Opens Its Doors to Public

On Saturday, visitors got an inside look at the United States Coast Guard Shinnecock Station in Hampton Bays.

The United States Shinnecock held an open house on Saturday where visitors could tour a coast guard boat, learn to tie knots and have their boat checked for safety.

Also during the event, which ran until 3:30 p.m. the Riverhead Foundation released Foxtrot, a seal pup that was rescued from Robert Moses State Park in April.
