Pet of the Week: Maggie Was Found Looking for a Bite to Eat

The Southampton Animal Shelter has some loving pets for available for adoption.

This week, the  is looking to find a home for Maggie, a 4-year-old brown tiger domestic shorthair.

Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, said Maggie was found outside an Italian restaurant looking for something to eat.

"She's here at the shelter now and is ready for some home cooking in her new forever home," Bambrick said.

Maggie, Bambrick said, is great with people, but she prefers to be the only cat in the house.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog. 

To adopt Maggie or any of the other animals, call the shelter at 631-728-7387 or visit them at 102 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays.
